Training Programmes

A Dental Technician is responsible for the production of all removable and fixed dental appliances, such as partial and complete dentures, orthodontic appliances, crowns, bridges and maxillo-facial prostheses.

A Dental Surgery Assistant is responsible for assisting the dentist at the chairside with the care of patients before, during and after treatment.

A dental hygienist is responsible for controlling and preventing periodontal diseases and dental caries through oral hygiene care and education.

A Dental Therapist is responsible for delivering oral health services within the framework of the School Dental Care Service of the Department of Health.

The course provides basic knowledge of the profession of dental surgery assistant. Through face-to-face lectures, visits and practices, students will have better understanding in the daily operation of the profession to plan for their study and career development. As a foundation course, this course aims to enhance the working dental clinic assistants’ fundamental knowledge for them to provide effective assistance to the dental team to certain extent. [This course is suspended until further notice]
